How the Pet of the Month contest works
- Enter your pet: upload a nice, well-lit photo and your pet's name.
- Done, you're in: the photo goes straight into this month's gallery.
- Share and ask for votes: use the WhatsApp button to send the link to family and friends.
- Vote every day: each person can vote once a day for each pet.
- Meet the champion: on the last day of the month voting closes, and the pet with the most votes is featured on the home page, gets a post on the AMA PETS Instagram and enters the Hall of Fame.
Tips for taking the perfect photo of your pet
- Use natural light near a window and avoid the flash.
- Get down low and shoot at your pet's eye level.
- Catch their attention with a treat or toy just above the camera.
- Use a simple, clutter-free background so your pet is the star.
- Show their personality: the tongue out, the puppy eyes, the nap in the sun.
Rules
- Entry is free and open to pet owners anywhere.
- Each contest runs from the first to the last day of the month. Photos compete in the month they were submitted.
- The photo must be taken by the entrant and show their own pet. Images from the internet, offensive edits, photos focused on people or animals in situations of mistreatment are not accepted.
- Photos go live right away, but AMA PETS may remove any entry that doesn't follow the rules at any time.
- One vote per day, per person, for each pet is allowed. Automated or fraudulent votes are discarded and may lead to disqualification.
- The winner is the pet with the most valid votes at the end of the month. The prize is a feature on the AMA PETS home page, a post on Instagram @amapets.blog (tagging the owner's profile, if provided) and a place in the Hall of Fame.
- By entering, you authorize the publication of the photo, your pet's name, your first name and your city on the AMA PETS site and social media.
- We don't ask for your e-mail or any sign-up. To remove your photo, just contact AMA PETS on Instagram @amapets.blog.

Right away! As soon as you send it, your pet shows up in the gallery and can receive votes. If it doesn't, refresh the page.
